Area affected: Chatswood to Parramatta and Illawarra.
A Telstra fibre cable has been severely damaged by road works in Chatswood.
A fibre repair crew have confirmed that the 288 fibre cable has been completely severed. Technicians are currently preparing the site for repairs which includes installing two new fibre access pits and replacing 300 metres of cable. No further ET on restoration.

We have been advised that splicing has begun on the damaged Telstra fibre cable in Chatswood, NSW. No further ET on restoration.

The optic fibre technicians have successfully repaired 268 of 288 fibres. Fibre splicing continues. No further ET on restoration.

We have been advised that further progress is being made on the damaged Telstra cable and they expect to begin splicing another section tonight. No further ET on restoration.
